Macarons {Not Macaroons}

One of the easiest ways to live like a Parisian in Denver is to start eating desserts à la française.

Not to be confused with macaroons, macarons (pronounced like “macaroni” without the “i”) are the chic dessert in France, resembling miniature cookie sandwiches. With a popularity battling that of the cupcake in major American metropolises, boutique bakeries in France each offer their own take on the petite merengue and ganache confectionary.


While Laudrée and Pierre Hermé boast some of the best macarons in Paris, these delightful treats are now available right here in Denver:
