The Squeaky Bean Hosts Eater Denver Happy Hour

Given the major accolades and shake-ups at The Squeaky Bean recently, the Eater Denver happy hour became a sort of un-intentional toast goodbye to Max MacKissock’s hand in the kitchen.

A fun “chips n dips” happy hour menu was sprawled out on the buffet and $5 drinks were swinging at the packed bar. Dips included extra gourmet options like goat cheese or eggplant spread, though classics like PB&J were very popular.

If you brought your Denver passport, you could even get a taste of an off-menu tequila cocktail called the “Dr. Detroit” — a simply stunning and tasty creation.

I hooked up with Christine of Fork Social Lab and HungryInBoulder to chit the chat and gush about how tasty our snacks were. Of course, there was also the full menu, which is a force to be reckoned with.

At the end of the night, I found out I had won a gift certificate to one of my favorite neighborhood restaurants — which just goes to show I am on a winning streak these days! Who says the gods don’t favor gluttony?!

How do you socialize with foodies? What are some of your favorite gourmet snacks? Let me know in the comments!
